Three members of a North Hall family have been arrested on theft charges.

On November 7, 2011, at approximately 4:00 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 8000 block of Breezy Lane in Clermont to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the roadway. Upon arrival, Deputies learned that a resident had discovered a disabled Chevrolet pick-up truck towing a trailer in the roadway. Loaded on the trailer they found a 20’ section of metal culvert pipe and other metal material that they confirmed was stolen from nearby property.

A short time later, three male subjects arrived on the scene, claiming ownership of the truck and stating it had run out of gas. After conducting interviews, Deputies and Investigators arrested two brothers, 18 year-old David Justin Tweedell and 22 year-old Anthony Ray Tweedell, as well as their uncle, 45 year-old Robert Allen Chamblee, all of Gainesville.

All three men were arrested without incident and booked into the Hall County Jail, charged with Theft by Taking (felony). The stolen property was returned to the owner.

The incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division.
