Layaways Coming for the Holidays 2011

Layaways Coming for the Holidays 2011

As the holidays come near I figured it was time to let everyone know about the great layaway programs that will be going on this season. This is the time to start getting ready for the holidays and with these great programs you can get your holiday shopping done and be debt free. This is one of the things that I plan on doing to help with the cost of providing my daughter a Christmas.

Best Buy

Make a 25% down payment, plus a 5% nonrefundable layaway fee. Best Buy requires a minimum purchase of $250, but keep in mind that you can include several items to meet that total. Payments are made every two weeks until the balance is paid in full. Items that are ineligible for layaway include clearance, promotional, closeout and discontinued items.

Belk Charity Sale to take place this weekend

Belk Charity Sale to take place this weekend

ATLANTA -- When the Belk Charity Sale returns to Metro Atlanta, everybody wins.

Bargain hunters love the annual event because it allows them to take advantage of some great pre-holiday shopping deals, and the community benefits because money raised by the event goes directly to local charities and schools.

The Belk Charity Sale is a four-hour in-store event offering discounts of 20 to 70 percent off certain items. It will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

"Belk is committed to being involved in our communities and supporting causes important to our customers," said Jessica Graham, vice president of communications and community relations for Belk. "Each Belk Charity Sale offers us the opportunity to reach thousands of nonprofits across our footprint and to help them raise much-needed funds."
