Search continues for missing man | News
GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- Hall County Sheriff's officials are still looking for a man who was last seen nearly two months ago.
Investigators first learned that 47-year-old Thomas E. Funk Jr. was missing on Oct. 3, when they stopped by his house on Oconee Circle in Gainesville to check on him at the request of a family member.
Funk's roommate told police that he last saw the missing man on Oct. 1. Funk left his car and cell phone at his house and had not told anybody that he planned to leave, according to Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks with the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
A K9 search of the area around Funk's house did not uncover any sign of him, nor did a follow-up investigation. Police do not suspect foul play in his disappearance.
Funk is described as a white man, about six feet tall and 155 pounds, with light brown hair and hazel eyes. His family is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his return.
Anyone who sees Funk or knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Hall County Sheriff's Office at 770-531-6879.
