The incident happened on Miller Drive in Gainesville on Sunday. According to a Georgia State Patrol report, Joshua Sanders, 19, backed out of a private driveway and struck 2-year-old Landon Martin.

The report said that Sanders left his vehicle to check on the victim and called 911, but eventually fled the scene.
