GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- Gainesville officials are expected to give final approval April 21 for the city's first brewery.

City Council members on Tuesday gave the initial nod for Left Nut Brewing Co. to open in the Chicopee Mill industrial area off Atlanta Highway, The Gainesville Times reports.

If approved, the the brewery will occupy a former Johnson & Johnson administration building, which has been vacant for many years.

The brewery plans to offer tours and tastings. Core offerings will include various blondes, ales and lagers.

Rick Foote who heads up research and development for the brewery, said the building "will be the most beautiful brewery in the state of Georgia."
