Weekend roadwork: More of the same

(WXIA) -- Georgia Department of Transportation crews will work in all the usual problem areas this weekend.

Drivers are asked to avoid Interstate 285 if possible, as construction projects will be performed on several stretches of that road.

As always, all weekend roadwork is weather permitting.

Scheduled projects include:

Cobb County
2 northbound lanes of I-285 will be closed between Paces Ferry Road and Cobb Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for sign structure work.

Cobb/Fulton counties
3 westbound lanes of I-285 will be closed between New Northside Drive and I-75 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for sign structure work.

Cobb/Fulton counties
2 northbound lanes of I-285 will be closed between Bolton Road and South Cobb Drive from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for concrete rehabilitation.

DeKalb County
2 westbound lanes of I-285 will be closed between Northlake Parkway and Chamblee Tucker Road from 7:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for sign structure work.

Fulton/DeKalb counties
1 eastbound lane of I-285 will be closed between New Northside Drive and Lavista Road from 7:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for sign structure work.

Fulton County
2 northbound lanes of I-285 will be closed between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Hollowell Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for sign structure work.

Fulton County
1 southbound lane of I-285 will be closed between Cascade Road and I-20 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for sign structure work.

3 westbound lanes of I-20 will be closed between the Downtown Connector and Langhorn Street from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge joint repairs.

2 eastbound lanes of I-20 will be closed between Fulton Industrial Boulevard and I-285 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge joint repairs.

Fulton County
1 lane in each direction of Ga. 400 will be closed between Sidney Marcus Boulevard and Lenox Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Sunday for cable installation.

Fulton County
1 southbound lane of Ga. 400 will be closed between Windsor Parkway and Loridans Drive from 7 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Henry/Clayton/DeKalb counties
1 northbound lane of I-675 will be closed between I-75 and I-285 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly for sweeping.

Newton County
2 eastbound lanes of I-20 will be closed between Almon Road and Highway 278 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for bridge work.
