Bus #9725 ran off the roadway at Joe Chandler Rd. and East Hall Road, a spokesperson for the Hall County School System said.
The Georgia State Patrol said the bus driver had an apparent medical condition, which caused him to black out, allowing the bus to run off the roadway and onto its side.
Twenty-two East Hall students were on board, sixteen including the driver, Doug McClure, were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
All of the students were examined and released from the hospital before noon Friday. The cause of the wreck is continuing to be investigated by Georgia State Patrol.
