HALL COUNTY, Ga. -- A rabid cat was recently captured in Hall County.

The cat had contact with two people in the Gillsville Highway area, according to Hall County Animal Services. It tested positive for rabies at the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur.

This is Hall County's 13th confirmed case of rabies so far this year.

Alerts will be posted near the place where the cat was found. Hall County residents who see animals acting strangely in the area are asked to call animal services at 770-531-6830.
