Glades Reservoir workshop set for Oct. 12

Atlanta, GA-- The Hall County Board of Commissioners will hold a presentation and open discussion regarding the current status of the Glades Reservoir directly following the Oct. 12 work session at the Georgia Mountains Center. The meeting objective is to openly communicate some of the history and current status of the project, as well as determine the next steps.

The Commission will have its regularly scheduled work session at 9 a.m. Oct. 12, then begin the Glades Reservoir workshop at approximately 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend.

Burn Ban Lifted, tomorrow

On Oct. 1, 2010, residents of Hall County will again be allowed to burn natural plant growth with the proper permits:

• A residential burn permitis for someone who wants to clean up their yard and wants to burn leaves and small tree limbs (no bigger than 3 inches in diameter). To obtain a residential burn permit, call 770-536-2442. This is an automated line and residents should follow the instructions. At the end of the recording, they will receive a burn permit number good for that day only.
