Hear Music Live and Watch Dogs Dive at the Lake Lanier Pet Fest

Atlanta, GA--  Don’t miss the first Lake Lanier Pet Fest, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sept. 25 and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sept. 26 at Laurel Park in Gainesville. This family and pet-friendly event is expected to draw thousands from Atlanta, Athens, Gainesville and the North Georgia Mountains to see the nationally-sanctioned Dixie Dock Dogs diving competition.

A variety of talented local and national artists will perform live music on the shores of Lake Lanier, with this year’s headliner Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls. There will be herding and agility dog demonstrations, inflatable fun for the kids, and pets available for adoption. Local dogs can participate in the diving competition or the other pet contests and activities. All proceeds will benefit adoption programs at the Hall County Animal Shelter, which is a division of Hall County Government.
