Hall County Voters Favor Two Tax Payments

On Election Day 2010, Hall County voters decided that they would like to pay property taxes in two installments due Oct. 1 and Dec. 1, rather than one annual payment. The referendum is nonbinding, which means the Hall County Board of Commissioners must vote to actually change tax payments to two installments.

Craig Lutz and Scott Gibbs were voted onto the Hall County Board of Commissioners and will begin their four-year terms on Jan. 1. Craig Lutz received 85.3 percent of the vote for District 1, while opponent Paul Wayne Godfrey received 17.6 percent of the vote (1 percent was write-in). Scott Gibbs ran unopposed for the District 3 seat.
